Superbowl thoughts, Heroes returns.
Of course I watched the Superbowl tonight. I'm not sure I was rooting for anyone in particular, but I think the right team won. It was a fantastic game. I remember so many Superbowls that, frankly, sucked that it's nice to see a good game in addition to the commercials.
It's really hard after so many years with a Tivo not to want to timeshift the game. I started it about an hour late, skipped over most of the replays, commentary and a chunk of the halftime show, and was still a little bit behind at the end of the game. It goes against every impulse I have now to watch commercials on purpose. That said, the commercials were mostly unimpressive. I liked the GE Scarecrow commecial, a lot of the Coke ads, and, as usual I feel a little bad about this, a lot of the Bud ads.
And now, because it's been a while, a small tirade for y'all. Why do the directors of the sports studio shows feel the need to move the camera? Left, right, in out. What's wrong with a locked shot? Stop it. You're making me seasick.
Heroes comes back tomorrow night and the Monday night scheduling fiasco resumes. I guess I'm no longer watching Chuck. I have to choose between it, House and How I Met Your Mother.
